PolyPiù obtains EPD certification for eleven product families (H1)

PolyPiù has recently obtained the prestigious EPD Environmental Declaration for eleven product families: a result that confirms our commitment to making our polycarbonate solutions for construction, industry, architecture, and design increasingly sustainable and traceable.

EPD is an international certification that provides objective, verified, and comparable data on the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle: from manufacture to final disposal, including transport, use, and packaging.

EPD: a concrete choice for transparency and environmental sustainability

The process that led to the EPDs being obtained was structured and transparent: each certificate is the result of a careful LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) study, drawn up in collaboration with an environmental consulting firm and then validated by accredited verification bodies, until final approval by the independent body EPD International.

Unlike other manufacturers who adopt a single cumulative EPD, PolyPiù has chosen to pursue eleven, one for each product family. This is a strategic decision that reflects our desire to provide accurate and realistic data, highlighting our concrete responsibility in reducing environmental impact through the use of recycled materials, energy optimization, and better overall resource management.

EPD certifications mark a new and important milestone in the virtuous path our company has been following for some time: every year, the results of the LCA study will be verified, validated, and updated as necessary, in line with developments in production processes and the materials used.
