Scales of Transformation: when architecture and chemical engineering meet
“Scales of Transformation is an exhibition that aims to make the general public understand the importance of the interaction between architecture and chemical engineering. This union is fundamental for the development of new materials and technologies that improve people’s lives. The exhibition proposes a multidisciplinary reflection on production processes, their democratisation and their effects on collective well-being. The aim is to overcome commonplaces and superficial evaluations regarding the chemical industry, stimulating instead a greater awareness on the part of designers, students and the general public. The exhibition is aimed at all those who want to learn more about the techniques and outcomes of the changes taking place in society thanks to technological innovations.
Polypiù is one of the Politecnico di Milano’s partners in this important project, supplying its polycarbonate product to give life to the exhibition cylinders that will bring to life the environment of the Guido Nardi exhibition space at the School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano.The exhibition will officially open on 29 May and remain open until 29 September 2023 at the venue in Via Ampere 2 in Milan.
