How lighting can improve the patient experience: the case of the DENTAL HUB dental centre in Anzano del Parco in Como

When it comes to making the patient experience in a healthcare environment pleasant, the importance of lighting often cannot be ignored. An appropriate and well-distributed amount of natural light can make all the difference, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that contributes to patient well-being.

Architect Elena Rigamonti took particular care in realising the modern and welcoming design of the Dental HUB in Anzano del Parco, paying attention to even the smallest details. For example, the interior wall and ceiling coverings of the waiting room and the external emergency staircase were carefully chosen.

For these claddings, the Panelpiù 500/40 P10 solution was chosen, a modular system in interlocking multiwall polycarbonate with top-of-the-range performance, thanks to its resistance to wear, stress and thermal insulation. The opaline colour finally chosen for the walls was illuminated with spotlights and LED strips, thus ensuring uniform light distribution.

The opaline colour was also chosen for the external safety staircase, to ensure good visibility for all patients passing through from the first access. Thanks to the judicious choice of this colour, the staircase is well lit and visible, contributing to the safety of the users walking down it and perfectly harmonising with the modern architectural structure.
