PolyPiù and IED: here is the partnership that enhances the talent of tomorrow’s designers
PolyPiù recently kicked off a prestigious partnership with IED, the European Institute of Design, among the most important educational centers in Italy in the fields of industrial design, fashion and visual arts. The goal is to foster the development of tomorrow’s design through collaboration between the company’s specialists and future professionals in the field: students.

It is precisely in this context that the agenda of activities will kick off on June 21, with a guided visit to PolyPiù by a select group of IED students: during the day the future designers will be introduced to the branded products, the company’s history and philosophy, and the achievements and applications of the polycarbonate solutions that have made PolyPiù one of the leading companies in the sector internationally.

The visit, which will also include a tour of the production department, will also focus on particular applications such as backlighting polycarbonate panels and tests such as load testing.

At the end of the tour, students will of course be able to interact with the company team and receive further product elucidation.

June through September: a journey of creativity, innovation and collaboration
The one in June, however, is only the first step in a much more complex project.

It is in fact set from July 18 to 22 for the PolyPiù workshop at IED under the supervision of Michele Nardo, the company’s Architectural Specialist, who is in charge of supporting students in creating cardboard prototypes of their projects.

Michele is undoubtedly the perfect figure to accompany the students in the expression of their talent and creativity by virtue of his long experience in working alongside architects, designers and builders from the conception of different applications to their completion.

During the last day of the workshop, the students’ achievements will be presented and carefully examined so that the best one (or ones!) will be selected.

During the month of August, PolyPiù will finally take care of transforming the winning prototype(s) into a real polycarbonate product, which will be illustrated and awarded in September right in the setting of the European Institute of Design.

We will be happy to update you on all the advancements of this interesting creative project.PolyPiù is proud to collaborate with young talents to create smart, functional and sustainable solutions that will find their way into tomorrow’s world!
